SNAICC Announces Theme for National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day 2020: We are the Elders of tomorrow, hear our voice

I love it! This is a wonderful theme that really speaks close to my heart. At Riley Callie Resources, we are passionate about the importance of ensuring that we as adults, provide our children with the learning environments they need to be supported to reach their full potential and become the leaders of the future that our world needs. This theme speaks to me of looking after our children, sustaining them and helping them to grow into the best person they can be. Because they are of course, our Elders of Tomorrow!

National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day (Children’s Day) is the largest national day to celebrate our children.  Children’s Day is celebrated across Australia each year on 4 August and it is a time to for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families to celebrate the strengths and culture of their children. The day is an opportunity for all Australians to show their support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, as well as learn about the crucial impact that culture, family and community play in the life of every child.
